Think Spring

Well everyone, It's now the last day of February.  "WOO HOO".  We were finally starting to see some ground and then got pommeled with more snow and lots of drifting. The horses were in the barn for 3 days and "my on my" we're they bouncy!

I'll have lots of "re schooling" to do with Hector but he shouldn't be too bad. We're putting in a riding ring this year finally which will make my training so much easier.

My parents are doing well and I'm father's all healed up from his emergency surgery. So, their both on the mends now.

I've received word from my daughter in law that they think my son has lymphoma. I'm just sick to my stomach over this. He'll be 27 in a few weeks. So, it's now a waiting game to see what the biopsies show.

On another note. The one boarder is gone!  She and I did not see "eye to eye". I'm a firm believer in structure, mutual respect and discipline and love when it comes to horses.  I've been in the horse world too long to treat horses like dogs!  Personally I feel if you want a horse like you see on the movies. Then DON'T get a horse and stick with the movies!

I think the "straw that broke the camels back " here was this one.  I pulled in our driveway to see this person doing the following.
Now folks...Tell me whats wrong with this picture!               A human has a horse tied " over top of a 3 strand electric rope fence" to a adjoining pasture AND 3 other horses running loose around her and the horse!  All I could say was OMG.........  I walked into the house and said to my husband. I'm done!!!!!!!!!!    So, after discussion with hubby.  I HAD to make more NEW barn rules spelling out MORE Safety things AGAIN. Thank god she took the horse out of here!!!!    Like the sign on the barn states : MY barn MY rules.  I've never seen a person that acted like her with game playing, manipulation of people  and down right stupid things done.
You would not believe how nice and quiet the barn is now with she and that horse gone!  OMG it's wonderful.

Well folks, I must get to the barn. I hope everyone thinks Spring and lets look for the snow to melt with warmer days ahead!

Welcome to T's Blog

Well everyone, with the holidays upon us already.  There's not allot of time to do anything it seems.
.
My fathers been ill and required emergency surgery and has been in the hospital twice within 2 weeks. My moms trying to hang in there but it's been hard.  So, I'm on the road allot lately. Between my parents home, work and our place.  There's just not enough time in the days to do anything it seems. My entire family is under allot of stress so it seems to bring out the worst in everyone.

Roberts been awesome in taking care of the horses and all the animals here. He's a great hubby and person.

The horses are doing good. Their all pretty bouncy due to the cold temps at times.

Personally, I'll be glad when the holidays are over this year. There's been so much termoil, sickness and deaths this year it's down right depressing.  But, I'm very grateful for having a great hubby and a few close friends like Lynette that can keep me going and always bring a smile to my face and make me laugh.
Well everyone. I'm off to do some barn work, clean the house and put our xmas decorations up in the house.
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.
